Biography

Jesse Van Camp was one of nine leaders of the Mine, Mill & Smelter Workers Union convicted in Denver in December 1959 of conspiring to file false non-Communist affidavits under the Taft-Hartley Act, in a case the union fought as an attack on its right to exist.
