Biography
Jeremy Hammond, also known by his online moniker sup_g, is an American anarchist activist and former computer hacker from Chicago. He founded the computer security training website HackThisSite in 2003. In 2012, he gained access to the servers of the private intelligence firm Strategic Forecasting (Stratfor). From viewing the internal company logs, he discovered Stratfor had spied on political activists at the behest of corporations and the U.S. government. He subsequently leaked this information to Wikileaks. In November 2013, he was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for the data breach and release of information.
