Biography
Jeff Schuerholz (sometimes spelled Scheurholz) was an ACT UP/Los Angeles activist who disrupted a Jerry Falwell event during the 1992 Republican National Convention in Houston. Police dragged him from the event, placed a knee on his neck, and took him to the Harris County jail, where he described being confined in an overcrowded cell under deliberately uncomfortable conditions. His incarceration is confirmed, though the source does not state his individual release date; the Houston protesters were generally held through part or all of the convention (August 17 to 20, 1992).
