Biography

Jackie Allen-Doucet was 22 and a nursery school teacher in Hartford, CT at the time of the Griffiss Plowshares action. She is a life-long Plowshares activist, artist, water protector, Catholic Worker, spiritual companion, and member of the Atlantic Life Community, raised among the Berrigans' circle of Catholic radicals. She also took part in the 1989 Thames River Plowshares action while living and doing shelter work at the Ahimsa Community in Voluntown, Connecticut, and continues mentorship and afterschool work in Hartford.
