Biography

Dartmouth-educated New England construction worker in the 1970s who co-founded the Clamshell Alliance in 1976. Went on to co-found the U.S. Green Party, ran as the Greens' 2020 presidential nominee, and worked the night shift at UPS as a Teamster from 2001 until 2017. Long advanced an eco-socialist Green New Deal program he first proposed in 2010.
