Biography
Herbert Mahler, secretary of the IWW General Defense Committee and treasurer of the Everett Defense Committee, came from Seattle, Washington. He was convicted at the mass IWW trial in Chicago, sentenced to hve years in prison and fined $30,000. He served in the Cook County Jail and Leavenworth Penitentiary from September 1917 to March 1918 and from September 1918 to May 14, 1922, when his sentence expired.
