Biography

Longtime SLEEPS (Safe Legally Entitled Emergency Places to Sleep) activist in Eugene, Oregon who advocated for unhoused people. Arrested by Eugene police for asserting his right to assemble at the Wayne Morse Free Speech Plaza, he was criminally prosecuted by the city for two years before the City Attorney abruptly dismissed the case in July 2015 rather than face an adverse constitutional ruling.
