Fr. Chris Ponnet was a Los Angeles Catholic Worker who participated in the Ash Wednesday March 5, 2003 blockade of the downtown Los Angeles federal building, two weeks before the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Sentenced to 45 days federal custody beginning May 1, 2003.
