Biography

F. J. Gallagher, an organizer and leader of the oil field strikes in the summer of 1917 from Chicago, Illinois, was convicted at the mass IWW trial in Wichita and sentenced to eight years in prison. He served in Leavenworth Penitentiary from December 1917 to December 22, 1923.
