Biography
Dion Tyrone Diamond was a Freedom Rider and SNCC field secretary with two separately documented arrests in the Civil Rights Digital Library, each with its own Sovereignty Commission identification photograph. He was arrested in Jackson, Mississippi on May 24, 1961 — the date on his Jackson police placard — as a Freedom Rider, and again in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on February 1, 1962, during his SNCC organizing there. The catalog treats these as separate custody episodes, and so does this record; neither episode's disposition or release date is established in the CRDL material, so those fields are unresolved.
