Biography

Concha Cantu was a secretary of the Fish Cannery Workers' Defense Committee and one of five women strikers of Fish Cannery Workers Union Local 20147 arrested by the San Pedro "red squad" in the December 1935 Coast Fishing Company strike at Wilmington, California, and sentenced to thirty days in the Lincoln Heights jail.
