Claire O'Connor was a twenty-two-year-old nurse and University of Minnesota student arrested in Jackson, Mississippi on June 11, 1961 as a Freedom Rider. Her birth year, about 1939, is derived from her reported age at arrest. The Civil Rights Digital Library holds her named arrest photograph — its original metadata misspells her surname O'Conner — but does not establish her disposition or release, so those fields are unresolved.
