Biography

Charles L. Lambert, from Sacramento, California, was convicted at the mass IWW trial in Chicago, sentenced to twenty years in prison, and fined $20,000. He belonged to the IWW's General Executive Board. He served in the Cook County Jail and Leavenworth Penitentiary from September 1917 to January 31, 1923. Lambert was released on the condition that he would be deported and never to return to the United States.
