Biography

Carlos Feliciano was a veteran Puerto Rican independence militant arrested in New York in May 1970 and accused of a campaign of bombings. Defended by attorney William Kunstler, his supporters denounced the case as a frame-up; after a 1971 trial ended in a hung jury he was retried, convicted only on a lesser possession charge, and freed in 1973.
