Biography

Worcester, Massachusetts anarchist arrested October 19, 2024 with her partner Celeste Legere for allegedly cutting fencing at Richard H. Stahl & Sons Inc. fur farm in Rockefeller Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania and releasing 683 mink. Pennsylvania State Police recovered crowbars, bolt cutters, lock-picking kits, and anarchist literature from the couple's vehicle. The Northumberland County DA initially filed sixteen counts including felony ecoterrorism under PA's animal-and-ecological-terrorism statute and RICO/corrupt-organizations; the ecoterrorism count was dismissed by Judge Paige Rosini in 2025 and the RICO charge was dropped by the prosecution. Mitrano spent twenty-one days in Northumberland County Prison before being released on $15,000 bail; trial on remaining felony cruelty / theft / criminal mischief / conspiracy counts is set for May 2026. In March 2025 the ALF claimed a solidarity action releasing 2,000 mink elsewhere "in solidarity with cara and celeste."
