Biography

Augusto C. Gonzales Pinto was a Portuguese-immigrant leader of the 1928 New Bedford, Massachusetts textile strike, described by the ILD's Labor Defender as the most frequently arrested of the strikers — jailed over and over for his part in the mass picketing.
