Biography
Anita Ricci, a Philadelphia native, was twenty-two at the Camden 28 indictment. She had graduated near the top of her class at St. Maria Goretti High School, won a scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania, studied sociology at Temple University, and worked at Philadelphia's Resistance Book Store. Unlike her co-defendants she entered a guilty plea to a lesser charge before the seventeen-person trial; the exact disposition and any sentence remain unresolved, and later accounts that fold her into the statement that all twenty-eight were acquitted or dismissed are wrong. Her father's February 2007 obituary refers to her as his late daughter, establishing only that she died before that date.
