Journalist and former Black Panther Mumia Abu-Jamal was arrested at the scene of the shooting death of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner. Tried in 1982 and sentenced to death by a jury from which Black jurors had been systematically struck, Mumia remains incarcerated in Pennsylvania.
