Acupuncturist and Black Liberation Army member Mutulu Shakur was arrested in Los Angeles after five years on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. Convicted of RICO conspiracy in the 1981 Brink's armored car robbery in Nyack, NY, he was sentenced to 60 years. Released on parole in December 2022; died July 6, 2023.

Released to a halfway house in May 2026.
