Catonsville Nine burn draft files in Maryland

Catonsville Nine burn draft files in Maryland

Daniel and Philip Berrigan and seven other Catholic peace activists removed 378 draft files from the Catonsville, MD draft board and burned them in the parking lot with homemade napalm. Their trial that October became a landmark of antiwar resistance and Catholic Worker activism. All nine served federal prison sentences.
