Environmental activist Eric McDavid was arrested in Auburn, California, along with two co-defendants, on conspiracy charges built largely by an FBI informant ("Anna") who supplied the group with materials, ideas, and shelter. McDavid was sentenced to nearly 20 years. He was released in 2015 after his attorneys discovered withheld exculpatory evidence; the government agreed to a plea reduction.
