Biography

The Rev. William Holmes Borders was a prominent Atlanta minister and president of the Love, Law and Liberation Movement, one of six Black ministers arrested in January 1957 for deliberately riding in the 'white' seats of an Atlanta bus to create a court test of segregation. He was fingerprinted and released on bond and faced grand-jury indictment.
