Biography

V. Gaudenzi was an Italian-American anti-fascist held in the New London, Connecticut jail in 1928 on a charge of "inciting a riot" after opposing a Columbus Day fascist parade — one of the anti-fascist arrests the ILD's Labor Defender defended as Mussolini's Blackshirt movement organized among Italian immigrants in America.
