Biography
Tondrique Fitzgerald, 23, was arrested on June 1, 2020 and charged with aggravated rioting and vandalism for engaging with others to pull a granite civil rights plaque off the Historic Metro Courthouse (Nashville City Hall) wall. The plaque was smashed; pieces were used to break courthouse windows. Investigators watched Fitzgerald rip off the memorial in a Facebook Live video while encouraging others to participate. Sentenced to 48 months in Tennessee state prison.
