Biography

Tom Forcade, also known as Thomas King Forcade and Kenneth Gary Goodson, oversaw the Underground Press Syndicate and founded High Times. Following the 1972 Miami political conventions, he faced a federal explosives prosecution. Albert Goldman's retrospective describes his confinement in a guarded jail cell; Forcade's later interview dates his acquittal to 1973. The surviving accounts reviewed do not establish exact custody dates or time served.
