Biography

Theodore Bailey was a conscientious objector from Kentucky imprisoned during World War I. Court-martialed for refusing military service, he was held at Fort Leavenworth. (Documented in the Swarthmore College Peace Collection's World War I Conscientious Objectors database.) Archival note: imprisoned at Ft. Leavenworth on August 10, 1918 (or as late as Sept. 9, 1918)
