Biography

Stephen Graham was a Southern labor organizer who, after being acquitted twice, was re-arrested on a charge of advocating the violent overthrow of the government and faced deportation — one of the wave of criminal-syndicalism prosecutions the ILD fought across the South during the early Depression.
