Biography
Stella (Stefana) Brown was a Detroit grandmother, brought from Poland at age two and naturalized in 1946, sentenced to six months for contempt for refusing on Fifth Amendment grounds to inform on relatives and friends while testifying in her own denaturalization trial. The U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear her appeal.
