Biography

Ruby E. Koenig (born about 1886 - June 22, 1968) was a member of the National Woman’s Party and one of the "Silent Sentinels" imprisoned during the 1917-1919 campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage.

She was arrested on August 6, 1918 at Lafayette Square and initially released on bail. She was tried and sentenced on August 15 to fifteen days in the old District Workhouse, and released early on August 20 with the rest of that group, about five days into the term.
