Illinois Black Panther Party member shot four times surviving the Dec. 4, 1969 police raid on Fred Hampton's apartment; The Black Panther Vol. 15 no.13 (1976) reports the attempted-murder and weapons indictments against him were dropped after police lab evidence was shown to be falsified, and he became a plaintiff in the $47.7 million civil-rights suit.
