Pro football's first Black owner (of the WFL's Florida Blazers), jailed in Orlando on drug and embezzlement charges under a bond he could not pay; The Black Panther Vol. 14 no.21 (1976) reports his lawyer and Black Sports magazine called it a racist plot to drive him out of the business.
