Biography
Rena Mooney was a San Francisco music teacher, socialist activist, and the wife of Tom Mooney. She was indicted along with her husband, Warren Billings, Israel Weinberg, and Edward Nolan for the July 22, 1916 Preparedness Day Parade bombing, after photographs purported to place her at the scene. She was acquitted by jury in July 1917 and went on to lead the international defense campaign that ultimately freed her husband in 1939.
