Biography

Rebecca Maisenberg was a Detroit woman the government moved to denaturalize under the Walter-McCarran Act for alleged political associations. Her case, paired with that of former Michigan state senator Stanley Nowak, went to the U.S. Supreme Court as a test of the Act's denaturalization provisions (Maisenberg v. United States, 1958).
