Biography
Reba Gomborov, later Reba Commero, was born in Kyiv and was a member of the National Woman’s Party and one of the "Silent Sentinels" imprisoned during the 1917-1919 campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage. Her dates of birth and death are unresolved, and several contemporary misspellings of her name occur in the sources.
She was arrested on February 9, 1919 during the final watchfire demonstration, sentenced on February 10 to five days in the District Jail, and took part in the hunger strike. She was released early with the remaining prisoners on February 13.
