Biography
Born in Lonoke, Arkansas, Polly Mann co-founded Women Against Military Madness (WAMM) with Marianne Hamilton at Loretta's Tea Room in Minneapolis in fall 1981, alongside eight other women. WAMM became a frequent partner of the Honeywell Project and Mann was repeatedly arrested at Honeywell shareholder-meeting actions through the 1980s. Ran for U.S. Senate as an independent in 1988 with the motto "Speak Truth to Power," and remained active into her 100s. Died at age 103.
