Biography

Palys Lorena Aglae Chevrier, known as Dollee (March 14, 1878 - March 24, 1948), was a member of the National Woman’s Party and one of the "Silent Sentinels" imprisoned during the 1917-1919 campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage.

She was arrested on January 13, 1919, spent that night at the House of Detention, and was sentenced on January 14 to five days in the District Jail. A full term would have ended about January 19; no discharge record has been located.

She was arrested again at the final watchfire demonstration on February 9, 1919. The located records do not establish whether she was among the twenty-six sentenced the following day, so no sentence is recorded for that arrest.
