Biography

Nina Samorodin (July 4, 1892 - November 28, 1981), later Nina Samorodin Ramuglia, was a member of the National Woman’s Party and one of the "Silent Sentinels" imprisoned during the 1917-1919 campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage.

She was arrested on September 13, 1917 and sentenced to thirty days at the Occoquan Workhouse. Presumptive completion was around October 13, 1917; exact discharge documentation is unresolved.

Her surname was previously spelled Samarodin in this record; Samardin also appears in the sources.
