Biography

Mun Chol Myong is a North Korean businessman who was in the process of importing goods from Singapore to his native country of North Korea when he was arrested in Malaysia due to a Washington, DC judge issuing a warrant against Mun for conspiring to circumvent U.S sanctions against North Korea. A top Justice Department official claimed foreigners who have never been in the U.S can be extradited to it for violating domestic laws. The United States has enforced a blockade against North Korea since 1950 designed to cripple its economic and social development. Mun Chol Myong was deported to the United States where he pled guilty to charges of circumventing U.S sanctions.
