Biography
Mtayari Shabaka Sundiata, born Samuel Smith, was a Black Liberation Army member who participated in the October 20, 1981 Brink s armored-car expropriation in Nyack, New York. He fled the scene after the gunfight that killed Brink s guard Peter Paige and Nyack police officers Edward O Grady and Waverly Brown, and was killed three days later by NYPD detectives in a confrontation in Queens, New York on October 23, 1981.
