Biography

Lorenzo Pinero was a leader of the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party prosecuted in 1937 in the wave of repression around the 21 March 1937 Ponce Massacre, when police fired on a Palm Sunday march at Ponce, killing some twenty and wounding hundreds; the ILD defended the jailed Nationalists.
