Biography

L. M. Mills was an organizer for the Southern Tenant Farmers' Union at Tyronza, Arkansas. In early 1935 he was convicted of 'interfering with labor,' fined $100, and imprisoned for lack of bail — jailed amid the Arkansas planter terror against the STFU.
