Biography

Karl Soehnlein was an ACT UP/New York activist arrested during a sit-in outside the chamber of the New York State Legislature in Albany, demanding adequate state AIDS funding. He spent the night in jail together with approximately twenty other activists and was released the following morning. His oral history places the action in the 1990 Albany AIDS-budget campaign; a large related arrest occurred on March 28, 1990.
