Biography
Justin Solondz is an environmentalist activist and former member of the Earth Liberation Front (ELF), an organization that had been organizing tree sits and anti-logging protests in Olympia. He is serving 7 years after pleading guilty to conspiracy and arson for his involvement in the Earth Liberation Front (ELF)'s arsons of the University of Washington’s Center for Urban Horticulture in 2001 and the Romania Chevrolet dealership in Eugene, Oregon. These acts were committed in protest against genetic engineering. He and multiple other ELF members were investigated as part of the FBI's “Operation Backfire.” Justin was imprisoned in China for three years prior to extradition. He was sentenced to seven years in prison before being released to a halfway house on 1/12/17.
