Biography
June Croll Gordon was the executive secretary of the Emma Lazarus Federation of Women's Clubs and a former secretary of the Anti-Nazi Federation. In August 1960 the Immigration Service issued a deportation order against her on a charge of having entered the U.S. illegally from Canada in 1928 — a technical pretext widely seen as targeting a left-wing Jewish civic leader.
