Met Ed Mead at McNeil Island federal prison in the late 1960s and joined the George Jackson Brigade through that connection. Wounded and captured at the failed Tukwila bank robbery January 23, 1976, then freed by Mark Cook from Harborview Medical Center on March 10, 1976. Recaptured in Tacoma March 21, 1978 alongside Therese Coupez and Janine Bertram. Convicted in W.D. Washington July 12, 1978 on bank robbery and bombing-conspiracy counts; later escaped a California federal prison; finally released 1998. Now a spiritual teacher. John Sherman was a member of the George Jackson Brigade arrested on January 23, 1976 in the failed Tukwila, Washington bank robbery in which fellow Brigade member Bruce Seidel was killed and Ed Mead was wounded. Sherman was wounded in the same exchange. After her arrest she was incarcerated in the Washington state prison system for 8 years and was released in 1987.
