Biography
John Rooney was one of four members of the Irish Workers' Club in the Bronx, New York arrested defending against an eviction in 1932; the disorderly-conduct charge was raised to felonious assault and they were secretly indicted by the Bronx grand jury, held on $1,000 bail each.
