Biography

John L. "Slim" Anderson was the president of the Piedmont Council of the United Textile Workers, framed with four other Burlington, North Carolina textile workers on a charge of dynamiting the Holt mill during the September 1934 general textile strike and sentenced to a term on the North Carolina chain gang.
