Biography

John Ball was a SNCC worker jailed in Holmes County, Mississippi in May 1963 following the firebombing of voting-rights organizer Hartman Turnbow’s home. A contemporary SNCC newsletter names the detainees and reports their release after the arson charges were dropped.
