Biography

Evangelical theologian and founder/editor of Sojourners magazine. Co-drafted the original "Promise of Resistance" statement at the November 1983 Kirkridge retreat with Jim Rice; circulated the Pledge through Sojourners in 1984, helping seed the national network. Arrested multiple times at the U.S. Capitol over four decades of antiwar witness.
