Biography
James B. Carey was the national president of the United Electrical and Radio Workers of America (CIO), arrested and held without bail during the June–July 1936 RCA-Victor strike at Camden, New Jersey and convicted of "disorderly conduct" with a sixty-day sentence, one of some ninety strikers held on over half a million dollars in aggregate bail.
